Another key milestone has been reached on the innovative hotel and retail development in Stoke Gifford, Bristol with the ‘topping out’ ceremony for the 103-bedroom Premier Inn hotel.
Taking part at the ceremony celebrating the completion of the hotel structure, were all the major stakeholders involved in the scheme including developers Baylis Estates, Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB), Beard, Stride Treglown, JLL, the Waterman Group and Hoare Lea. RLB is providing cost consultant services for the whole development.
As well as the construction of the Premier Inn, the multi-million pound regeneration scheme involves delivering a Beefeater restaurant, an Aldi superstore and a Costa Coffee drive thru on the infill site on the Stoke Gifford Park off Fox Den Way, North Bristol. Sustainability is at the core of the scheme and the hotel and restaurant will meet the BREEAM Very Good standard for environmental and sustainability quality.
The development, which also includes associate infrastructure and a pocket park and public art, is scheduled to be complete by Spring 2024.
Henry Blunden, Senior Associate at RLB, commented:
“The Fox Den Way development is a fantastic regeneration scheme that the RLB team is really pleased to be supporting. The topping out ceremony for the Premier Inn marks another milestone as we move into the fit-out stage. We are looking forward to working with all the stakeholders to deliver this great scheme for the North Bristol area.”
Beard Director, Matt Cooper, said:
“We’re pleased to celebrate this construction milestone with all our project partners. We look forward to delivering this exciting and significant development that will bring modern new accommodation, leisure and retail facilities to an already thriving and growing area of Bristol.”
